"MAN" — Board Game About a Robot Who Wants to Be Human

"MAN" is a print-and-play cooperative board game inspired by the emotional journey of a robot striving to become human. This project blends storytelling with interaction design, applying UX principles to physical gameplay for a deeply empathetic experience.

Empathy-Driven Design
Game mechanics reflect a user-centered growth model — players unlock core human traits like memory, emotion, and agency. Each mechanic is built around emotional engagement, just as effective UX builds trust through feedback and understanding.

Information Architecture

Each component and rule was designed for intuitive flow, reducing cognitive load — similar to structuring digital interfaces through wireframes and content hierarchy.

Accessible Visuals
The game’s layout was optimized for home printing, using high-contrast colors, icon-based communication, and minimal text to ensure inclusivity — a practice rooted in accessibility-focused UI design.

Narrative Experience Flow
The player journey mirrors a well-designed user flow, with progressive narrative stages that guide users from discovery to emotional payoff.

Tools Used
Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Handmade Prototypes, Playtesting with Users
